EDGAR SYLVESTER JONES is the son of Allen Iverson Jones and Jennie E. (Parrish) Jones. Edgar was born on January 4, 1895 in Bulloch County, Georgia. On June 20, 1918, Edgar Jones married Pearl Inez English in Savannah, Georgia. Edgar and Pearl Jones were the parents of one daughter, Edrian Klaire Jones, born January 2, 1920 in Bryan County, Georgia. Edgar Jones died on May 5, 1984 in Savannah, Georgia.

Newspaper Obituary: "Allen iverson Jones, age 69, prominent Bulloch countian, died yesterday afternoon in his home six miles east of Statesboro. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 4 o'clock from the Primitive Baptist church with Elder W.H. Crouse in charge of the services. The deceased is survived by his widow, two sons, E. S. Jones, of Savannah, and C. L. Jones, of Statesboro, and the following grandchildren, James Allen Jones, Virginia Jones. Carson Jones Jr. and Flaire (Klaire) Jones. |
