In Cape Archives - Will MOOC 7/1/149 ref 115 1822, filed 1839

Joint will of Willem Wagenaar and Maria Catharina Neethling done by Mr Ziervogel, the “Sekretaris van die Drosdy” at Cradock dated 6 Jul 1822. A codicil dated 18 Oct 1837 empowered the son Johannis Hendrik Jacobus Rynders to assist as executor of the estate. In 1822 Ziervogel referred to Maria as Maria Catharina Neethling. In 1837 she signed the codicil as “Mari Ja Catrienna Neeteling”.
