About Catherina Rothrock

Catherine married Peter Rothrock (1746-1829) on 09 Oct 1770 at York, York County, Pennsylvania. They moved from Pennsylvania to the Moravian Community of Friedberg, North Carolina in 1771. Friedberg was then on the border of Surry and Rowan County, North Carolina; but presently on the border of Forsyth and Davidson Counties, North Carolina. Surry County became Stokes County in 1789 and Forsyth County in 1849. Rowan County became Davidson County in 1822.

Peter and Catherine were the parents of ten known children; six girls and four boys; and of 58 known grandchildren. All ten of their children grew to maturity. There were known to be other children that died young. Inscription: b: Berks Co, PA
