Biography

Catherine Baumgardner Deer (unknown) was born circa 1706 in Germany.

Catherine married Johann Friederich Baumgartner in 1734 in Schwaigern, Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Together they had the following 6 children:

1. Dorothy Fleshman (Baumgardner);
2. Adam Bumgarner (Baumgardner);
3. George Baumgardner;
4. Frederick Baumgardner;
5. Joel Baumgardner;
6. Eve Baughan (Baumgardner).

Catherine married Johannes Deer (Hirsch) circa 1746 in Orange, Virginia, Colonial America. Together they had the following 6 children:

1. Elizabeth Deer;
2. Catherine Deer;
3. Susanna Deer;
4. Mary Deer;
5. John Deer;
6. Moses Deer.

She died circa 1800 in Virginia.

Son Joel Bumgarner named his mother as Catron Deer in his will (Culpeper County, Virginia Will Book B: 111).

Catherine (Unknown) first married Johann Friederick Baumgartner and they were parents of six children: Dorothea, Adam, George, Frederick, Joel, and Eve.

Following Friederick's death she married Johannes Hirsch (after coming to America he changed his name to Deer as "Hirsch" in German means "deer").

Johannes (or John) and Catherine had six children: John, Mary, Moses, Catherine, Susannah, and Elizabeth.

Her birth date (1716) is estimated based on the birth of her first child.
