Catherine Simcock was born about 1691 in King George,King George, Virginia She was the wife of Joseph Berry and was named in his will along with their six children (all males).

Her husband's Will of 1749 he mentions his father, WIlliam Berry; brother, Enoch Berry; grandfather, Enoch Doughty (his mother's father); wife Catherine Simcock Berry and six sons: (no daughters are mentioned)
