Catherine is the daughter of Matthew Armstrong who died in 1779 in Lincoln County, NC, and is in her father's Will, along with her sister Jean Armstrong who married James Leeper Jr., son of James Leeper Immigrant (and brother of Robert Leeper, proven by Y-DNA and mentioned in historical records for the relationship). Her husband Robert, actually served with her father Matthew, back when both were in Captain John Smith's List, Augusta, Colonial Virginia in 1742.
I could try and replicate the research here on Geni, but it would be quite difficult.
Here is the link to the research on her father: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Leeper-759
What little has been found on Catherine is here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Armstrong-16633
Mentioned as "Catren" without surname in her father's May 06, 1779 will, and granted a large physical object, so she lived nearby. Her husband may have predeceased that date, however. Leeper grandchildren were mentioned but only one who was directly attributed to Robert Leeper.
