William Rea, father of William Rea and three daughters, Jennet (aka Mary) Ray (1732-1804), Mrs. Joseph Allen,, and Mrs. Patrick Rutherford, died in October, 1769, in Little River, Orange County, North Carolina. Please see https://www.ancestry.com/imageviewer/collections/9061/images/004087...

He was also a slaveowner; he left Phillis to his wife and to Son in law Joseph Allison after Catherine’s death.

Note: William Rea left a Will proved Orange Co., N.C., 1774 in which he named wife, Catherine, son, William, grandson David Rea, sons-in-law Michael Robbinson (sic), John Mordah, James Mordah, Patrick Rutherford. Exs: Joseph Allison, William Rea. Witnesses: Robert Wilson, James Rea, Jr., Samuel Sample.

The family came to Orange Co., N.C. from Lancaster Co., Pa. The Robinsons were from Marlboro Twp, Chester Co., PA, next to Lancaster.
