Mrs. Catherine Tomilinson, an aged and highly respected pioneer resident of the county, passed away at her home in Pilot Mound, Saturday, November 14th., after a long illness. Catherine Winn was born in Janesville, Ohio, July 14, 1835 and was 72 years and 4 months old at the time of her death. In May 1851 she was married in her native state to Thomas Tomlinson and five years later they came to Boone county and have since resided here. To them were born eleven children., two sons and one daughter dying in childhood. She is survived by her husband, seven sons, one daughter, twenty four grandchildren and one great-grandchild, to whom is extended the sympathy of a host of friends in their bereavement. The funeral services were held from the Methodist church in Pilot Mound at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. M.
