ID: I6347 Name: Catherine CLORE Surname: Clore Given Name: Catherine Sex: F Birth: ABT 1718/1721 in ,,Va. Death: ABT 1744 in ,Culpeper , Va. _UID: 667B2F907B41D511BD9EBDC3D7961731D2E5 Note: Hi Shirley, I don't have an exact date. We know that their first daughter was born on 15 Oct. 1735, assuming that the inscription on Barbara's tombstone is correct: 1815 Barbara Franck war gebohren im Jahr 1735 den 15 Oktober und ist gestorben 1815 den 5. Hornung. Ihr alter war 70 jahr 4 monat 4 tag. Which means translated: 1815 Barbara Franck, was born in the year 1735, the 15th of October and died 1815, the 5th of February. Her age was 70 years, 4 months and 4 days. On 19 May 1735, Michael Clore sold 100 a. to Martin Wallick (Walk. So we assume that by that time he had married Catherine Clore, maybe his father-in-law wanted to help them get established. Martin Walk was granted 400 a. jointly with Tobias Wilhoit, on 10 July 1736, he patented these 400 acres in the Great Fork of the Rappahannock River in the Parish of St. Marks and the County of Orange, Virginia. I think that they must have married in Spring of 1735 (if you count back from Barbara's birth day, they should have been married by January 23. (I used one of the pregnancy calendars on line to calculate. Ha! ha!) Anyway, should have been sometimes in early Spring of 1735. Elke Change Date: 16 Mar 2014 at 01:00:00
