Karl-Chaim Goldberg, b. .Mielec 9 Jan. 1902. Was an accountant in Berlin. Immigrated to Israel in 1933 under the influence of his wife. It was a new experience for him, while his wife Shoshana was already familiar with the country to the Israeli way of living. He missed his formar life in Germany. They lived in a flat in 52 Bar-Kochva str. corner of Dizengoff, second floor. Karl worked in constructing buildings, worked outside town and came back home on week-ends. In WWII worked for the British Army in Schneller Camp in Jerusalem, as an accountant in the NAFI (today's Shekem),. He brought the family (and the Gotliebs) products they could not get otherwise. Hary worked at the same time for the British Army in Tel-Aviv and Karl and him exchanged rooms. Workd with the organization Haavara = the Transfer, who transferred Jewish money from Europe to Israel. Was an accountant there. Later was an accountant in Kupat Cholim. Was ill at home in the last 2 years of his life. d. Tel-Aviv, 1 Jan. 1983
