CHAS. ANHALT FOLLOWS WIFE TO THE GRAVE Four weeks after attending the funeral of his wife, Charles Anhalt of New Holstein was today laid to rest alongside of her in Holy Rosary cemetery, having died at St. Nicholas hospital in this city Wednesday from cancer of the throat. He had been having considerable trouble for a long time and he finally went to the hospital to submit to an operation for it.
Mr. Anhalt was born in the town of Schleswig February 22, 1872. In May 1897 he was married to the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Laures and six children were born to them, of whom five survive as follows; Mrs. Joseph Williams; Mrs. Joseph Utschig; Clarence; Edwin and Marcelles.
For the last 19 years previous to their death, Mr. and Mrs. Anhalt resided on a farm one and one half miles south of New Holstein.
Besides the children Mr. Anhalt is survived by five brothers; Peter, Plymouth; John, Chiltpn; William, Sheboygan; Albert, Marytown and Clemens, town of Eaton, two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Steinberger, Sheboygan and Mrs. Peter Hensen Fond du Lac. Rev. Kuborn officated at the funeral.
