Charles C. Chapin, son of Charles and Ann, b. 26 June 1752, married 11 April 1776, Theodosia Ferre, also of Salisbury, and had four sons - Moses, Aaron, David and Oliver - and one daughter. [Note conflict in number of daughters with statement above.]
"Mr. Charles Chapin" d. 21 Jan. 1813, in 61st year. Theodosia, wife of Charles, d. 30 Jan. 1814, in 62d year. Buried in Chapinville Cemetery.
Revolutionary Service of Charles C. Chapin - b. 26 June 1752. m. 21 Apr. 1776. d. 21 Jan. 1813. "Enlisted 20 July 1775, in Capt. Isaac Bostwick's 7th Co., Col. Charles Webb's Continental Regiment. On requisition from
Washington, the regiment was ordered to the Boston Camps. There it was assigned to Gen. Sullivan's brigade on Winter Hill at the left of the besieging line, and remained until expiration of term of service in Dec. 1775."
