About Charles Cookson McBean II
He enlisted in Co. A 21st N.Y. Volunteers May 20th, 1861 as drummer as Charles 2nd McBean, Jr. Drum carried by him is in Buffalo Historical Society.
After his fathers death he was always known as Charles McBean.
On returning home from the Civil War in 1865, he married Mary Archer Jan 12, 1865. From the union above 6 children were born.
Charles 2nd McBean was prominent in G.A.R. Was secretary of committee that placed the soldiers' monument at Main St. entrance to Forest Lawn Cemetery. He is buried in Sec. 16, west 1/2 lot 50 with his wife and son Robert. He always lived in Buffalo , NY.
