'From Our Correspondent Folkestone, November 22 Charles Armstrong Culver, 35, of Crofton Lane, Orpington, Kent, was killed at Lydd to-day when the 100ft wireless pylon on which he was working collapsed after a temporary stay had given way. Culver, who was wearing a safety belt, came down with the pylon' on 23 November 1949.5,8 He was inquest which recorded a Verdict of Death by 'Misadventure' on 28 November 1949.5
