Charles Henry Davis was born December 4, 1852. He attended Dulwich College. (I, Eddie Presley, personally contacted Dulwich and they have no record of him attending. When I asked if there may have been a fire or some other misplacement of regards they gave me a firm but polite... "No.")

After his marriage to Winifrid, he took a job with the railroad and was sent to America. They came to Cincinatti, then to Carthage. Charles was sent to do cost-effective studies on a new line to be run into Florida. Upon seeing the land, he decided to take advantage of the Railroad policy of giving right-of-way land to employees. He moved to Florida before 1910 and founded the Tampa Bay Land Company. He invested in mortgages and vacant land. Some tracts near the panhandle were held on a speculative basis in the hopes that oil would be found, creating a boom such as was occurring in Pennsylvania.

Charles died July 12, 1922.

Constance Mary married Halcot Estes. Halcot’s parents were Minnie Allen Riley Estes Spitler (Minnie Riley) and W.W. Estes.

Halcot’s brother was Verner and his sister was Lillian.

Constance Mary and Halcot’s children were Bob, Betty, Lawrence and Kenneth.
