About Charles Henry Dixon
Big Sandy farmer, Charles H. Dixon, 54, died June 13 in Big Sandy. Requiem mass will will be June 18, at 10 a.m., in St. Margaret Mary's Catholic church, with interment in Big Sandy cemetery.
Dixon was born Sept. 16, 1918, in Big Sandy, and was raised there. On June 5, 1943 he married the former Leah Meeks in Big Sandy, and the couple made their home in the Big Sandy area. He was a member of St. Margaret Mary's Catholic church in Big Sandy, active in the Bowling Association and 4-H work.
Survivors include his wife; children, Mrs. Daniel (Laile) Andrews of Power and Russell of Big Sandy; four grandsons; his mother, Annie Dixon of Big Sandy; sisters, Mrs. Ray (Lorraine) Parchman and Mrs. Bill (Louise) Smith, both of San Diego, Calif., Mrs. Dave (Rita) Levy of Seattle, and Mrs. Don (Helena) Courtnage, Big Sandy; and a brother, Edward Dixon of Big Sandy. He was preceded in death by one brother during World War II, and by his father.
