SSgt Raymond Clay Dixon, born July 28, 1922, at Big Sandy, Montana, inducted in Army Air Force December 1, 1942, went overseas as an aerial gunner 1943, served in the Pacific War area. Killed in action over Truk Island April 2, 1944. Raymond was awarded the Purple Heart and Air Medal posthumously.
