William Clay Dixon, Early Resident Passes
William Clay Dixon, well known resident of the Kenilworth territory, passed away at his home 17 miles west of Big Sandy Sunday evening at 5:30. His death was due to a cerebral hemorrhage.
Mr. Dixon had been a resident here for 24 years. He was born at Piney Creek, N.C., on June 26, 1880, and spent his boyhood days there. In 1905 he went to Washington where he lived until he moved to Montana in 1911 and had since resided west of Big Sandy.
Mr. Dixon leaves to mourn his untimely death his wife, four daughters, Lorraine, Louise, Loretta and Helen, and three sons, Charles, Raymond and Edward, all living at home. He also leaves three brothers, R. G. Dixon, who lived neighbor to him, and two brothers in California, one sister in California and one in South Dakota, besides other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held yesterday at the Catholic church in Big Sandy, Rev. Fr. Brogan of Havre conducting the service, and the body laid to rest in the local cemetery. Many neighbors and friends were present to pay their tribute of respect to their departed friend. .............................................
