GEDCOM Note

In 1755 during the expulsion of the Acadians, the family escaped deportation and fled to Miramichi, New Brunswick. They returned to Port royal about 1763. In 1770, they went to St. Mary's Bay, Digby County and settled in the village of Anse des Blanc (White Cove/LeBlanc Cove) where charles was granted 200 acres of land. Anse des Blanc is now part of the village of St. Bernard. - Glenn Laffy
