He may have served in at the Battle of Mobile Bay.Charles was released from service in Alabama in 1866. Consult the book 'The Drums of the 47th." On his enlistment papers he stated he was an harness maker, and may have work in his Father's saddle shop making saddles for the U.S. Army.Find A Grave#971329331.
