Charles Tillinghast (1745 - 1795) Figured prominently in the Battle of Quebec of the Revolutionary War. At the close of the war he was Assistant to General Lamb in the office of Collector of the Port of New York City.In 1796 he contracted Yellow Fever and died suddenly.
