Mrs. Charlotte Jane Phelps died on Wednesday, October 27, 1954, at the age of 70. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Dayton Center Community Church with the Reverend Robert E Hewitt officiating.

Mrs. Phelps was born June 8, 1884, in Dayton Township, the daughter of Lawrence and Olive Lumley. She married Truman Phelps November 25, 1903. Surviving are one son, Lawrence, Rochester, Mich.; 2 daughters, Mrs. Alma Wingert, Kingston, Miss Mildred Phelps, Kingston; 2 sisters, Mrs. Belle Hall, San Francisco, Calif., and Mrs. Fred Smith, Atherton, California; three brother (sp) James Lumley, Silverwood; Alfred Lumley, Fostoria; and Earl Lumley, LaFayette, Ind.
