Charlotte van Lore van den Bempdé, Marchioness of Annandale

Charlotte van Lore van den Bempdé died on 23 November 1762 at Bath, Somerset, England.2 Her will was probated in December 1762.2 She was buried on 29 November 1762 at Bristol Cathedral, Bristol, Gloucestershire, England.4 As a result of her marriage, Charlotte van Lore van den Bempdé was styled as Marchioness of Annandale on 20 November 1718. She was also known as Charlotte Vanlo as of 1 December 1731.4

She married firstly, Sir William Johnstone, 1st Marquess of Annandale, son of James Johnstone, 1st Earl of Annandale and Hartfell and Lady Henrietta Douglas, on 20 November 1718 at Fleet Chapel, London, England, without the consent of the father, and perhaps the mother, of the bride.3

She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. John Johnstone, son of William Johnstone of Westerhall and Henrietta Johnstone, on 1 December 1731 at St. Benet's, Paul's Wharf, London, England.2,4
