Chester Boyles Perkins

Chester Perkins, son of William & Mary Perkins, was born in Lanesborough, Mass. on Nov. 21, 1799; married with CELINDA CHASE, dau. of Solomon P.Chase Jr. and Alice Sargent. She was born Oct. 16, 1803 in Mannthalo, Vermont.

Children were: Lewis Boyles (6/2/1825), Theresa Jane (1/15/1828), Jackson (5/12/1829), Minerva (2/2/1831), Diantha (1/26/1834), Mary Alice (9/25/1839), and Oregon R. (2/28/1847).

• 1850 census: Chester Perkins (51, b NY) and wife Salinda (44, b Vt); in Neikimi, Wisc. w ch. Minerva (19), Diana (16), Mary (11), Oregon (3) and Theresa (23). Also there are a Lucian Perkins (2, b Wisc), Minerva Swift (-0-) and Leola Swift (3). Chester is a carpenter.

Chester Boyles Perkins was born Nov. 20, 1799 in Lanesborough, Massachusetts. He married Salinda Chase about 1824 and to this union they had seven children. They include: Louis Boyles, Theresa Jane, Henry Jackson, Minerva, Diantha, Mary A. and Oregon R. Perkins In addition, Chester and his wife Salinda raised their granddaughter, Abby D. Scoville (daughter of Diantha and Abner Scoville) after the untimely death of Abby's father.

Chester died Oct. 20, 1872 and is buried in Ontario, WI near his wife and grandson Willard. (Son of Oregon Perkins)
