About Chief Harry Franklin Fleming, Jr

Of Fredericksburg,died at his home.
Born in Fredericksburg.
After high school and just getting out of the Marine Corps in 1952, he joined the Fredericksburg Police Force at the age of 21.
During the next three decades, he rose from patrolman to corporal in 1956, to sergeant in 1958, to lieutenant in 1959, and to captain in 1977, named chief in 1979,retired in 1986.
