Puckeshinwa was a Shawnee war chief who was killed at the Battle of Point Pleasant during Lord Dunmore’s War in 1774 and the father of the Shawnee chief Tecumseh.
He was the father of the Shawnee chief Tecumseh.
Supposedly, as he lay dying, he told his son, Chiksika, to never make peace with the Virginians and to supervise the warrior training of his other male children.
