This file states that he was in 1900 on a farm near Wonderboom and later Roodekoppies 132, Pretoria. He also refers to living at Rooikoppies, Rustenburg district with a postal address of P.O. Sterkstroom, Rustenburg. [note:- Roodekoppies was also the address of Michiel Joseph Adendorff and his wife]
When making claim for compensation he states that he 'was born a burgher of the Free State'. Died at home on his farm 'Roodepoort No. 1125' in the Waterberg district, Northern Transvaal.
Will was signed 30th May, 1941 in Warmbaths and a codicil on 4th November, 1944. This was to state that their son Alfred Robert was to receive 50 morgen along the eastern border of Roodepoort No. 1125 between 'the Rooisloot, the eastern border and to the mountain'.
