About Christian Irvin Huss
Christian Ervin "Irv" Huss was the seventh child of Noah B. Huss and Rosanna George. He changed the spelling of his middle name to Irvin.
Irv and Maria Herminia "Mame" Seeger were married on January 18, 1899 by Reverand Ed J.K. Schmidt.
Irv was employed in the oil industry, working in Ohio, California, Louisiana, and Oklahoma and Texas.
The following is a copy of an editorial tribute that appeared in the Ardmore paper following his passing:
"The deaths of Joe Lathrop and C.I. Huss the past week removed from the scene of oil activity in Southern Oklahoma two of possibly the most genuinely admired characters in the industry in this part of the State. Mention either of these names to any who knew them and only words of kindenss will be expressed. Which is the highest tribute that can be paid - the only one of value."
Irv died in Ardmore, Oklahoma. The primary cause of death was listed as pneumonia.
Irv and Mame had children: Elinor, Basil Irvin, George Christian, and Barbara. Note: Buried in White Rose Mausoleum
