About Christiane Stewart
CHRISTIANE STEWART
She is named 1567 as one of the "Rockers" in the household of Prince James (later James VI), where she is said to be a daughter of "late lord of Coldingham".
She is named 1579 as the sister of of William Sinclairs wife in The register of the minister and being with child. Margaret Stewart, the daugther of John Stewart, 1st Lord Darnley, was the wife of William Sinclair.
There is speculation, but no proof, that she was the Christian Stewart who married Adam Mudie of Breckness, rector of Walls and Flotta.
