About Christina Paul Beatty
Christina Powell was the daughter of Philip Powell (aka Paul)and his wife Julia Ann Miller. Her father was a soldier in the Pennsylvania militia during the Revolutionary War. Christina Powell married John Beatty in Mifflin County, Pennsylvania on 20 February 1820. She and her husband John Beatty came to Stark County, Ohio in 1824 where they resided until their deaths. She was the mother of 10 children but only half lived to adulthood.
