Her husband, Johannes Hendrik Naude was aged 39 years, a widower and a farmer from ' Middelvlei ' Bethlehem District. They were married after banns and with Christina's parents consent at the NG Kerk, Harrismith on 13 March 187 by presiding minister, Ds A.A. van den Lingen VDM in the presence of the following witnesses :
