About Christopher George Blanck, Sr.
DAR# A204898
Christopher Blank was born circa 1727, possibly in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. He was married to Ann Elisabeth circa 1753. She was said to be a daughter of Michael Horlacher and his wife Maria Veronica. The Horlachers first settled in the Upper Perkiomen Valley and there are numerous family entries in the records of St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Red Hill, Montgomery County. There is evidence that some of them came to Salisbury township. It is believed that Christopher married Anna Elisabeth and then moved to Whitehall Township.
...
It is not known exactly how many children were born to Christopher and his wife Anna Elisabeth. There is definite knowledge of at least two sons and three daughters who survived him when he died in 1795. Mathews and Hungerford LEHIGH COUNTY HISTORY published in 1898, on page 490 states: "Christopher Blank sold land to sons Peter and George Adam in 1790". Peter Blank then sold some of the land to John Helffrich in 1799 (probably his brother-in-law). Christopher's will was probated in 1795 - in it he named his wife Elisabeth and stated in part "in order that my daughter Eve may be equal with her sisters, I give and bequeath" etc., and "after my wife's death it is my will that the residue of my estate be divided among all my children" - his "trusty friend - Michael Horlacher" was named executor.
