Christopher Heebner of Norriton

A Patriot of the American Revolution for PENNSYLVANIA with the rank of PRIVATE. DAR Ancestor # A054176

Came to America on the ship St. Andrew with his parents. Naturalized 4/10/1755. Moved to Worcester on tract at corner of present Township Line and Trooper Rd. where some of their descendants started the famous Heebner farm machinery manufacture subsequently moved to Lansdale.

It was 1762 when he acquired land in Norriton Township. In 1920 it was still owned by J. Wayne Heebner (according to a contemporary genealogist of that era, Mary Rogers (Bean). => The immediate descendant who inherited this tract was Christopher's son Abraham who married Catherine Rittenhouse, daughter of Matthias RIttenhouse.

Married 5/3/1757 by a justice of the Peace: Susanna Weigner (1738 - 1/17/1814), eldest daughter of Hans and Anna Reinwald Wiegner.

•Christopher Heebner, son of David Heebner (page 9), married Susanna, daughter of Hans Wiegner (page 16), May 3, 1757. Their children were: Melchior, born November 16, 1759. Died May 10, 1781. John, born July 12, 1761. Died March 10, 1824. Sarah, born April 21, 1763. Died January 12, 1833. Abraham, born December 28, 1766. Died November 25, 1846. Christopher, born May 11, 1770. Susanna, born October 1, 1773. Died August 13, 1777. David, born September 19, 1778. Died May 19, 1783. Susanna, wife of C. H., died January 17, 1814, aged 76 years. C. H. died August 21, 1827, aged 80 years.

The area borders present day Germany and the Czech Republic. The founder of the Schwenkfelder Church, Caspar Schwenckfeld, was born in Ossing, Silesia, which was changed to Ossig (Osiek in Polish), and is still a small town outside of Lubin, Poland, which is outside of Legnica (Liegnitz in German), Poland. "
