About Cindra "Cindy" Ellen Orso (Churchill)
Cindra Ellen "Cindy" Orso, 52, of Brentwood Street died Oct. 19, 2000, of cancer at her home.
She was born in Spring Valley, N.Y., a daughter of Ames and Norma Carter Churchill, and moved to Yarmouth at an early age. She graduated from Yarmouth High School in 1966 and St. Mary's School of Radiology in Lewiston.
Mrs. Orso was an X-ray technician at St.Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse, N.Y., and at the Leahy Clinic in Boston. She also worked for Rheumatology Associates in Portland and was the owner of Abigail Stained Glass Studio in Portland.
She was a member of Stroudwater Baptist Church, and participated in the Women's Bible Study Fellowship International at First Baptist Church of Portland.
She was on the board of directors of Home Schoolers of Maine.
Surviving are her husband of 27 years, Dominick "Nick" Orso of Portland; a daughter, Nicole E. Orso of Portland; and a brother, Stuart Churchill-Hoyer of Ann Arbor, Mich.
Visiting hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Jones, Rich and Hutchins Funeral Horne, 199 Woodford St. A celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Stroudwater Baptist Church, Congress Street, with the Rev. Donald Drake officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Portland.
