About Clara Bridgette Franciszka Biesik

1873 (17 June) Carl Peplinski (36 yrs), Pauline Peplinski (25 yrs), Franz Peplinski (9yrs), Clara Peplinski (6 yrs) & Anton Peplinski (5 yrs) arrived in New York from Bremen on the ship "Schmidt". The entire family returned to Poland in time for Jozef Peplinski to be born in Skorzewo, Poland on 26 April 1875. Frank, Clara, and Anton all re-emigrated to the US, and Jozef also emigrated to the US.



My grandmother, Agnes, thought her mother's name was Clara Brigitte Peplinski, but her christening records read Clara Francisca Peplinski - Deborah Emond


Obituary: Mrs Clara Biesik (Clara Peplinski) From the Stevens Point Daily Journal, Monday, October 13, 1958, page 8 A former Stevens Point resident, Mrs. Clara Biesik, Wauwatosa, died at 4 p.m. Sunday at the age of 92. Mrs. Biesik lived here for 40 years, moving to the Milwaukee area 32 years ago. She was the widow of John Biesik. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Wauwatosa. Mrs. Biesik, the former Clara Peplinski, was born in Germany on May 15, 1866. She came to the United States when she was 16, and moved here after living in the East for a short time. Her marriage to Mr. Biesik took place in Stevens Point. She is survived by four daughters. Mrs. Frederick (Theresa) Wilkens and Mrs. Edgar E. (Agnes) Ault, Evanston, Ill., Mrs. Grace Campbell, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Edward T. (Emily) Leising, Wauwatosa, with whom she lived; two sons, William Biesik, Milwaukee, and Harry, Wauwatosa; 33 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Peplinski, Richfield Springs, N.Y., and a half-brother, Sigmund Peplinski, Galloway. She was preceded in death by three children, Mrs. Clementine Frasch, John Biesik and Roman Biesik.
