Clarence Sandusky Is Called To Reward
Clarence Oscar Sandusky, aged 36 years, died late Wednesday at Benevolent hospital, following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Ninth Street Methodist church Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock by Rev. W. D. Barnes, the pastor, assisted by Rev. C. H. Turner, pastor of the Southside Baptist church. The Junior Order of United American Mechanics will have charge of the services at the grave. Priest will direct.
The deceased is survived by his wife and five children, Hubert, Doris, Dorothy, Naomi and Clarence Oscar, Jr; his mother, Mrs. A. O. Sandusky; three brothers, T. E. Sandusky, of Little Rock, R. G. Sandusky of Montgomery and W. M. Sandusky of Montgomery; four sisters, Mrs. B. B. Cavnar, Mrs. Frank Cobb, Mrs. Guy Counts and Mrs. Felton Weaver, all of Decatur.
Active pallbearers will be: Joe Barnett, Carl Emens, Virgil Lively, J. D. Garren, Frank Donahue and Frank Vaughan; honorary pallbears will be Wint Lovelady, J. F. Butler, Sr., Jim Adcock, Will Butler, A. C. Dillehay, A. H. Garnett, J. P. Matlock, D. W. Speake, Thomas Hodson and J. C. Holesapple.
Mr. Sandusky was widely known here and his death, while not unexpected, was a profound shock to hundreds of local friends.
