About Clarence Milton Washington
Clarence Milton was born to Prince William and Lelia Harmon Washington. Little is known about his childhood. When he was old enough, he began his illustrious life as a "Shine Runner". Some of his children were alleged to have "run shine" with him. One of them being Robert Earl Washington his son. Robert, before his passing, told many harrowing and exciting stories of he and his father "running shine".
Clarence saw two of his wives pass before him, leaving one that passed after his death
Clarence and Ella Hein, his first wife had three children: Thelma; Ruth and Robert Earl. Clarence and his second wife Janey Rebekah Schumacher Dillard Washington had 15 children: Benjamin; Velma; Thomas; Albert; Franklin; Betty Lou; Connie; Jerome; Otto; Harley; Darrell; Farrell; Wesley; Joe and Raymond. Tragically, in a fire in 1941 the home of Clarence and Janey was wrought by fire, burning to death three of their children: Velva; Clebert and Franklin.
After Janey passed, Clarence married Kathleen Williams in 1976 and predeceased her in death.
Many of Clarence's descendants live today and remember him well.* Reference: Find A Grave Memorial - SmartCopy: Jul 6 2020, 23:29:52 UTC
