Obituary- The Oklahoman, Thursday, Oct 15, 1959: "Services for Mrs Clarissa W. Keister, widow of the late Oklahoma City building contractor, John C. Keister, will be at 10:30 am Friday in Rose Hill Abbey. Arrangements are being handled by Smith & Kernke Funeral Home. Mrs Keister died Wednesday morning in her home at 1122 NW 39.
Mrs Keister, a native of West Milford, WV, lived in Detroit before moving to Oklahoma City in 1907.
She is survived by two sons, William E., of the home; and Leon, 3825 Springlake Drive; a daughter, Mrs Tyron Smith, Carlsbad, NM; two brothers, Lucien Ward, Clarksburg, WV; and Dan Ward, West Milford, WV; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren."
