Notes

The King of Siluria, he was sainted by the early church of Britain. He, first of the Cymry, gave infants names, for before names were not given except to adults, and then from something characteristic in their bodies, minds or manners. His brother Linus the Martyr, his sister Claudia and her husband Rufus Pudens aided the Apostle Paul in the Christian Church in Rome, as recorded in II Timothy 4:21 and Romans 16:13.
