GEDCOM Note

From researcher Jim Jackson, Genforum, September 2000:

George Edward Jackson, older brother of David E. Jackson, explorer and fur-trader, and son of Edward Jackson and Margaret Haddon of Harrison County,VA (Now WVA), was partners with my ggg-grandfatherJohn McClenahan (McClanahan) in Ste. Genevieve County, Missouri in 1814. John C. Jackson,in his book "Shadow on the Tetons," about David E. Jackson, states that George E. Jackson's wife was Helen McClanihan.I am looking for information on their family, and the parents of Helen. I would really appreciate any help on this family. Thank you.

Perhaps Catherine's name is really Helen, given her daughter's name. Will further research John McClenahan. --KWF 6/2014
