Col. Erastus Hubbard was the son of Rev. John Hubbard and Anna Hunt. Heavily involved in municipal affairs in Sullivan, NH, and was one of it's early settler at No. 4.
Col. Hubbard obtained his military title through appointment to the local militia. He was appointed Major on March 3, 1804 and Lieutenant Colonel June 19, 1807. He commanded the 20th Regiment.
