About Col. Nathan Denison
Nathan Denison, Jr., (1740-1809), was appointed colonel of the Twenty-fourth regiment of Connecticut militia, 1777 and commanded the left wing at the battle of Wyoming. He signed the terms of capitulation. He was born in Windsor, Conn., and died in Kingston, Pa.
Nathan was married in 1736, to Ann Carey, dau. of Eleazer Carey of Windham, Conn., and settled in Windham. His wife Ann died, May 16, 1776, aged 60. He married second, March 15, 1778, Hannah Fuller; and about the year 1800, he went to Kingston, Pa , where he died March 10, 1803, aged 88 years. His children, all by the first wife.
