Col.Amos Alexander served in the Revolutionary War under Gen. George Washington and was injured. Alexander Read who belonged to Col. Alexander 'S Regiment was detailed to bring the Col home where young Alexander met and fell in love with Jemima, the Col.' Daughter. The Col. Never sufficiently removed from his wound to renter the service.
The Col. Became a Justice of the Peace in Elkton, Maryland.
It is noted that he furnished a wagon to Col. Patterson.
