OBIT: OSSEO – Cora Eide, 92, of Osseo died Thursday at the Osseo Area Nursing Home. Cora is the daughter of Hans and Ida Eid Johnson. She was born Nov. 13, 1898, at the Town of Hale, Trempealeau County. She married Arthur Eide Jan. 1, 1920 at Strum. He preceded her in death in 1965. The couple farmed in Bruce Valley and the Osseo area and were custodians at Osseo Evangelical Lutheran Church where she was a member at the time of her death. She also worked at the Osseo Bakery. Survivors include three daughters, Myrtle Weaver of Palos Verde, Calif.; Alice (Clifford) Evenson of Osseo, and Joyce Knolle of Crivitz; one brother, Earling Johnson of Whitehall; fourteen grandchildren; forty-eight great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at the Osseo Evangelical Lutheran Church, with Rev. Roger Benrud officiating. Burial will be in Osseo Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Schiefelbein Funeral Home in Osseo and an hour prior to services Monday at the church.
