Cornelius was born in 1749. He was the son of Cornelius Tyson and Jane Cheek. He passed away in 1781.
His parents are shown in the minutes of Cane Creek MM as being from Cumberland County. They were received there on 4 August 1759 on request.
The marriage is recorded on this date (Quaker style): 22nd day 2nd month, 1770, under the care of Cane Creek Meeting (then in Orange County, North Carolina).
