During the Revolutionary War, Ebenezer Cobb served as private in Captain Russel's company, Colonel Bradford's regiment, 1777, and, 1779-80, was a corporal under Col. Gamaliel Bradford in the Massachusetts troops. (1912 Shurtleff Genealogy #207)
