Josiah Peck, son of Nathan Peck and Tabatha Beers, was born in Stratford, Fairfield Co., Connecticut on Oct. 20, 1751. He married on Nov. 9, 1774 with HELEN BIRDSEYE, dau of Rev.Nathan Birdseye and Dorothy Hawley. She was born July 17, 1751 in Stratford. He died May 24, 1821 in Stratford; she died there July 10, 1845. Both buried at Union Cemetery, Stratford, Fairfield Co., Connecticut.
Children were: Thaddeus (1775-1837), Birdsey (1784-1813), Josiah (1786-1809), and Sally (1792-1809).
Corporal Josiah Peck, per the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Vol 10, pg 334: Josiah Peck, 1776, entered the army as a private and served several enlistments during the war. He was corporal at the New Haven Alarm and his brother Nathan served as fifer. He died at Stratford in 1821 where he was born in 1751.
