Coulson C. Edington Jr., 80
An employee of the Bluffton Electric Department for 42 years, Coulson C. Edington Jr., 80, died at 8:44 a.m. Sunday at his residence at 6361 Clearwater Dr. in Spring Hill, Fla.
He had retired in 1981 from the electric department and in the same year ended 22 years as a member of the Bluffton Volunteer Fire Department.
He was a 1936 graduate of Bluffton High School and a member of the Bluffton Elks Lodge and the Fellowship Wesleyan Church at Spring Hill.
Mr. Edington was born in Bluffton Nov. 2, 1918 to Coulson C. and Grace Markley Edington Sr. His marriage at Bluffton on July 31, 1942 was to Betty Mosure, who survives.
Surviving also are a brother, Eugene Edington of Bluffton; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Thoma/Rich, Hewitt & Chaney Funeral Home in Bluffton with Rev. Mark Umfleet officiating. Burial will be in Six Mile Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m.
