Courtney Josephine King

King, Josephine Moses was born Jan. 1, 1872, departed this life May 29, 1962. Age 90 years, four months and 28 days. She was united in marriage to Armp King. To this union was born 17 children. Her husband and nine children preceded her in death. She joined the Mt. Pleasant Church at an early age and remained a member in good standing until her death. She leaves to mourn her passing three sons, Murray King of Harland, Ky., Rich King of Junction City, Ky., Carl King of Pine Knot, Ky.; five daughters, Manda Wilson, Junction City, Ky., Sylvania Duncan of Strunk, Ky., Dora Slaven of Pine Knot, Ky., Julia King of Strunk, Ky. and Blanch Ramsey of Pine Knot, Ky.; 56 grandchildren, 105 great grandchildren and 41 great great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. In the June 23, 1900 Census Josie was the m/o 7/6 living. In the May 02, 1910 Whitley Co., KY census Josie was the m/o 14/8 children living. One infant dies before 1900 cenus and 5 between the 1900-1910 census. There are 3 infants buried at the Silerville Cemetery, Strunk, McCreary Co., KY.
