About Cpl. Levi North, Jr.

Levi North served in the Union Army during the American Civil War in Company A, 31st Illinois Infantry Regiment. He entered service on 15 Aug 1861 and mustered in on 18 Sep 1861 at Cairo, IL. He was discharged on account of wounds on May 21, 1861. Three years later, on January 17, 1864 at Camp Yates, IL, he reenlisted in the same regiment. He was promoted to Corporal on November 30, 1864 and mustered out on 19 Jul 1865 at Louisville, KY.
